OEM/ODM Process – From Brief to Production

TBPHP Official Information

Microneedling Pen OEM Process and Timeline

TBPHP OEM/ODM projects begin with requirements and sample review. New tooling and pilot work depend on the project. Custom sample development typically takes 15-25 working days, tooling where needed 20-30 working days, and mass production 30-45 days after sample and tooling approval. These are separate stages, not a total delivery promise.

  • Sample: 15-25 working days
  • Tooling: 20-30 working days
  • Mass production: 30-45 days after approval
  • Freight and development time are separate

How We Work With OEM Partners

TBPHP supports microneedling pen and cartridge projects for brands, distributors, and professional skincare businesses. The work depends on whether you select an existing model with branding changes or require new product development. New tooling and pilot validation are included when the project requires them.

Step 1: Define the Product and Market

Send the product type, preferred model or drawings, target market, estimated volume, branding, and packaging requirements. For cartridges, specify the compatible device and required format. We review feasibility, sample options, MOQ, and the proposed project schedule.

Step 2: Review Samples and Specifications

Existing-model sample availability is confirmed separately. Custom sample development typically takes 15-25 working days. Review the sample, configuration, artwork, and relevant documentation before approving production. Sample delivery time is separate from development time.

Step 3: Confirm Tooling Where Required

A project using an existing model may not need new production tooling. Where new molds or fixtures are required, the typical tooling reference is 20-30 working days. Tooling cost, ownership, acceptance, and any design changes are agreed in the project terms.

Step 4: Validate the Production Setup

For new development, agree any pilot run, inspection criteria, and approval requirements before mass production. Pilot timing depends on the product and validation scope; it is not automatically included in the mass-production estimate.

Step 5: Mass Production and Quality Review

Mass production typically takes 30-45 days after sample and tooling approval. Confirm the order configuration, quantity, inspection requirements, packaging, and applicable documentation in the production agreement. Cartridge processing requirements are reviewed separately from electronic handpiece assembly.

Step 6: Dispatch and Delivery

Shipping begins after production and release for dispatch. Freight method, destination, customs handling, and delivery time are confirmed separately. Review our shipping information for stocked online orders.

Planning Your Timeline

The 30-45 day reference covers mass production, not the complete OEM/ODM project. Requirements review, sample development, tooling where needed, approvals, pilot work, and shipping can add time. Your quotation should identify the stages that apply and the approvals needed before each stage starts.
